2 questions; Acid dipping and oil around flanges

I have a good friend who has access to acid dipping at work. He said this can make the exhaust pipes like new. My ? Is will this damage the pipes in any way? Can u do this to the flanges that bolt to the head and will it mess up the silencers. These are psi quads.

There is a lot of oil also near and under the exhaust flanges, is this from bad gaskets or normal?

Ted- you might want to contact PSI directly to make sure those pipes are not damaged. I had my last set treated with a rust inhibitor before ceramic coated. They seamed to hold up well after that.
