Am I nuts?

I have been wanting to liven up my 95 vmax 600 for quite some time now. Well, now that it is losing compression on one cylinder, I figured it was the perfect chance.
In the late 90's you could get vmaxs with both a 600 twin and a 700 triple. I figured if you could interchange them in that style, why not the mid-90's style?
So my question is: am I nuts for even considering putting a 700 triple in my 95?
and has anyone tried it before?

Go for it. If you can get the motor cheap enough and are handy wrenching and fabricating your on parts or have a couple friends that are willing to help. I believe the 97 and newer vmaxs used the aluminum bulkhead in front of the motor as part of the support for the engine. There should definitely be enough room under the hood. No one has probably considered it because of the TSS suspenion is usually looked at as a step back. If you did it right that sled could be a real sleeper.
