Went by the local auto wrecking yard and noticed someone dumped off 4 vintage doo bubblenose and one slightly newer old sled would say late 60's to a early 70 all in bad looking condition but with a lot of parts still on them . If weather permits i might feel sorry enough and make an offer on all . 399 rotax seemed to be the common size but cant say for sure , one looked like it had slide rail suspension:frech32:

there is a snowmobile wrecker close to where i live, and he has a ton of old sleds... many running and for sale! Johnsons, Yammies, Marshall Wells, Sno cruisers, and even a Harley!

WOW!!

Damn, that sure brings back some memories when I had new Exciters like those!!

They sure look to be in awesome shape and the oem stock covers look great!!

Heck of a deal for someone who is collecting the "vintage" Exciters.
I would consider it but....... cant right now.:cussing:

Am actually kind of looking for a 87-88 Exciter project sled to make a little
"powder play toy".

Gee......... those Exciters are in Utah, I am in OR. hmmmmmmmmmm???
Maybe a phone call anyhow?? Hey.... a Mothers day gift ????:smilielol

I went and looked at them, they are pristine. he is willing to part with one but ya, his aunt (OLD lady) had them in a heated garage there whole life and even if they didnt ride them that year she would still get them serviced(many years obviously with only 400 miles on them) the guy even claimed to have reciepts for the service records since purchase... awesome looking sleds.

I found a nice 73 GP292 for a 100.00. Needs a seat. I have a NOS seat cover for it. If anyone sees a seat on a parts sled with good foam let me know.
