Bearings

I'm rebuilding the skid on my 97 and replacing all bearings-----Anyone have a suggestion on where to buy bearings? I have heard there are some good onling sorces. I'm looking for a good quality bearing w/out paying the yamaha rate? Thanks...

I bought some bearings from these guys. I haven't run them enough to have any real opinions on quality. I can tell you for certain the price is right though. I cant remember off the top of my head what size bearings in the suspension but I think they are 6004 and 6204's. I bought in quantities of 10, and they are about $1.50 a bearing and the shipping is free. Other than that, any bearing store would have them at a fraction of the cost Yamaha wants. All you need is the number of the bearings you will be replacing.

Finally got around to ordering the bearings today.... Great advise by Rustman. I ordered all the bearing for skid with a few extra because they were cheeper to buy 10 and when I purchased 10 shipping became free. So I cost was $60.25 total to replace ALL bearings on skid w/ a few extra, and I also ordered three 800 spedo bearings. The bearings I ordered was their premium bearing(DBL seal for outdoor use). Purchased from yamaha this would have been over $200. I found it easier to call in and order. FYI the contact number for this company is 863-248-8499 (they were extemely nice and helpful). Thanks again Rustman.
