Finally pulled the machine out of the garage and began working this week. Refreshing the top end, changing track over from ice to snow, and performing all of the general maintenance.

While I have the chain case open, I wondered if anyone could comment on my gearing. Local races are 500' hill climbs. I have the following gears in the toolbox:

20, 23
33, 35, 37
66 & 68 Chains

Currently 68 Chain on 20/35 (1.75)

Too much gear for such a short race? Without a 70 chain I can only drop to 20/37 on the 68 (1.85) Or am I headed in the wrong direction with this much power?

I was hoping for that answer! Now if my parts from Hauck just arrive in time!

Im a bit worried about the class I'll be tossed in, but no emotional commitment to a victory or anything like that. Just want to have some fun.

Wrong piston shipped to me. So I either change all 4, or wait for another day to race :( I have another set of 2 ring pistons, but hate to triple the work when hopefully some patience for the correct shipment will simplify the job.
