If you choose to swap skid, there is some threads inhere how to do it. pro-action and others. just seach.

Go to tottallyamaha and sign up at that forum, those guys have tons of $$$$$ to burn and sell good skids for dirt cheap.

I recently put a proaction plus 12" from a 96 xt 600 and I love it, was easy enough to do and rides like a new sled.
