Rear shock removal

So while I was trying to adjust the preload on my rearshock, (its aftermarket) I broke the bottom spring cup. I didnt know it was cast alum. I plan on just ordering a new shock. but how do you get the rear shock out. I unbolted it but it wedges it self inside the track and bracket

spring compression tool maybe? Compress the spring and it should come loose. Just a thought. I've always just pulled the entire skid but you may not have to.

Anyone hear of these shocks (Kimpex Gas Shock)

Ive heard of them, but most of what Ive heard is about them splitting in half very soon after installing them...
