I'm consiering buying a 95/96 800 with a 9811 track on it. I would like to replace thsi track with something more like a RipSaw to make it more trailable. Is there any issues with installing a 1.25" lig on these skids? I have never owned a VMAX4 so i have no idea about them. I am also considering changing out the skid as well. I hear there are options to give it more clearance. What are they.

Below are pics of 3 of my sleds, a 92 with an '05 RX-1 suspension and stock track, a 94 with a Bender Pro-Max suspension and stock track, and a 95 with a '05 Viper 136" suspension and 1-1/4" ripsaw track, jst to help give you a few ideas.....

Other people know better than me but i believe with the stock 9 tooth drivers the max track thickness is like 1.125" at the coolers. I ran a cheap 1.5' kimpex years ago that was notched to accommodate the cooler. I had a 95 st that i used a 2" camoplast chicken plucker ( cant remember the model#) 136 and i notched it for the coolers down to 1.125 but i also used 8 tooth 2.52." pitch drivers. I am starting another project and i will be trying 7 tooth extroverts and looking at lowering the front mount of the suspension and building a longer rear suspension mount bracket ( basically a complete support plate and mount kit that goes inside the tunnel) . Then i can have a track out of a Apex mtx or choose a lot more newer styles. I had m10 136 in my last 95 st800 but for affordability i am looking at a used 162" Apex mtx skid. Notching the track where the coolers rub is pretty easy with a serrated edge blade and i bet someone else has an easier way too. So many really smart guys here.
