Eating belts is not a vmax4 habit when the clutches are set up correctly, check your center to center, defection etc. Service Manual is available on the site for free, congrats on your purchase.

They are out there, i got this running short track for $600 11k km with spare belt vmax4 cover and the small owners manual, Ok, i had to do a 1070km round trip to get it (part of the fun, needed carbs cleaned and a lot of salt corrosion dealt with.
