I think there are 2 different sets of stock weights for the 95+ 800? I am just wondering if these are the more aggressive ones? Here is the part # 8 DN-17605-00 anyone shed any light on this?? thanks in advance.

you just might have as it is from ebay.
That part number isn't for a 800. Probably just the picture but the tip of the weight on the left looks thicker than the others.
95/96 - 800 - 8BU-17605-00-00
97 - 800 - 8BU-17605-10-00

You would want the 95/96 weights. The 8BU-00's. Can't remeber what that
8DN prefix is for but it is not Vmax-4.

8dn-00 is from 98 srx 700 and 8dn-20 is from -00 model,same sled.

8DN-10 ARE 98-99 SRX - 39.76 GRAMS
8DN-20 ARE 00-02 SRX - 42.09 GRAMS
8BU-00 ARE 95-96 VMAX 800- 48.7 GRAMS, THIS WEIGHT ARE MOST AGRESSIVE YAMAHA WEIGHT. GREAT FOR DRAG RACING.
8BU-10 ARE 97 VMAX 800 -45.41 GRAMS. GREAT ALL AROUND WEIGHT THAT REALLY WORKS WELL FOR FAST TRAIL AND LAKE RUNNING.
OTHER VMAX 4 WEIGHTS.
89A-00- 92 VMAX 4- 46.7 GRAMS
8AX-10- 93-94 VMAX 750 47.5 GRAMS !! 3:16 (tony)

excellent, you guys really kow you v4's thanks guys. I have to see what the clutching is on my 800 the next time I am up north, it engages at just over 5000rpms
