I've always hated the philips head screws that hold the float bowls on, found a place that has alloy and stainless allen head screws, they're about $2.50 for 20 stainless screws, much nicer than the philips head screws, especially if you're like me and are in and out of your carbs constantly.

All Mikuni carbs I've worked on use a 4mm x .70mm thread. I think the ones in the Vmax-4 are 12mm long if I remember correctly, you can always order longer and shorten em up for your needs though.

www.microfasteners.com

Go to "Ordering Online" then "Metric screws, nuts, and washers" then "Socket Head Cap Screws - Stainless"

They are M4 x .70 x (whatever length you want)

I have already switched almost all of my carb screws to allens. i did it last year when i had my carbs off. i hate the dang screws. the only ones i have`nt switched over yet, is the ones on the very top of the carbs. but thier next. luckily, i have a place a few miles from me named "mid state bolt and screw" they carry just about every screw, bolt ect. but thanks for the link though, not everyone has such a place near them. good find master of faster!
