Guys, well It has finally made it here. Just purchased the #91 Mike Sackett VMax 4. FIII and it just arrived from Anchorage, AK last week. I have included some pictures from the warehouse and on the trailer back to my Dad's in WI.

This is the twin to the #19 race sled run by Tim Bender. This sled was turned into a hill cross race sled as you can see so it is getting a complete restoration. The hood, engine and drive train are all correct original parts from the FIII. I have been in a contact with a gentlemen who was on the original race team who has the third bulk head/frame that was never assembled for the third sled to be built by Rick Bates. We will be putting this awesome race sled back to its original racing condition. I have the original skis, rear skid, Bender custom made gas tank also.

If any of you have original pictures, movies etc... of the FIII Vmax 4's running I would very much appreciate a copy or I will copy them if you send them to me.

So stay tuned for the FIII Vmax 4 #91 coming back to life.

Wow! What a great find, and a great piece of history! After you get it all restored we'll all come over and drool on it!:D :D :D Please keep the pictures coming.

All I can say is WOW !!!!!!!!!!!

Alot! I had been pursuing the seller for over a year since getting the #19. Now if I could just get better at getting everything to run by myself!

Nice find. I watched that very sled race in Wetasawin Alberta Canada.I am not sure if I still have the video I took of it racing or not.(My kids taped cartoons on a lot of my tapes:cussing: )I will check for you when I get some time.
