Hey, sry to steal the post alittle, but talking about this 750 quad problem, do you think they would develop a problem with the classic mods (base gasket, cut heads, 93-94 pistons with port hole, reeds) that I will be doing to my 750?
And what if it was bored? (Not that I will be doing that, you guys convinced me otherwise ;))
Thanks, and sry to steal your post IZZ, along with sry about the problems you're having, really too bad :(

I started it for him.

Lewis,

The base gasket mod on the 92, along with the piston port shouldn't cause you any problems. You are BASICALLY updating the 92 to the 93/94 specifications, more port timing and windowed pistons.

You want to be careful with head cutting, you can't go very far on the 92-94 sleds without recutting the dome. Besides, why would you want really high compression anyway?

As far as reeds go save your money and run the stock ones. Save your money for a better track...huge gain to be had with a good track.

I will give you some advice. First, when you do any modifications just do one thing at a time and then test. Second, more isn't always better, go for a mild compression increase, put a reasonably sized window in your piston, etc.

Toydoc had a good post about going out on the edge to get every extra ounce of power......it's not worth it. One of the best mods you can do to your sled is to blueprint your driveline and make sure your clutches are operating a peak efficiency........sounds boring doesn't it but that's where there is a lot of performance to be found on these sleds, especially on a 92.

Hahaha, that's too funny, thanks Ken, all I needed to know, don't wry I took your advice to heart, I'm not gonna try to go full out on my sled :)
Thanks again,
