I scored two 86 Phazers and a trailer for $600! have a couple questions.

I got lucky and scored two 86 Phazers that were running last season plus a 98 range ride on ride off two place trailer for $600 on CL. The trailer is in nice condition with good tires. The phazers are a matching pair both have about 5000 miles both have pretty warn tracks need seat covers and windshields. I think the tracks can wait windshields are like $25 each and im looking into seat covers now. I am pretty new to sleds bought my 93 vmax4 before last winter. Will an 86 Phazer run without a good battery? I don't know if they are good and don't want to spend any more money on them than I have to. I was thinking about next year buying my 750 a new track. Will the old one fir the phazer?

you dont need a battery in the phazer in order for it to run as long as you have a pull start. and also the tracks are different size on the vmax 121 vs the phazer 116 unless it is a phazer II then they r 121

Well I got one running no problem. I didn't even change the gas and it fired up. I think the other one has a bad kill switch. It feels really bad so I think thats the problem. The track not fitting is bad news. My vmax needs much more traction and the track on it is not in near as bad shape as the phazers tracks. Oh well.
