Hey guys, I`ve been looking at some seat covers, and I found some pretty cheap, but they only carry them for the 94-97 vmax 500/600`s. they dont list any for the vmax 4. so, are they differant? I thought i read about someone using a vmax 600 seat on thier vmax 4? Thanks

I believe the seats are the same, the Vmax-4 seat is pleated and the standard Vmax's are smooth ...

The front of the 95 & older Vmax-4 seats are wider up near the gas tank, they should work with a little ingenuity.

That is correct, I have a 96 V4 seat and a 96 Vmax600XT seat and the only
difference is the pleating on the V4 vs no pleating an the 600XT and the color
of the Yamaha logo - red on the V4 and white on the XT.
The seats are quite a bit narrower up front as well as being made of a much softer foam.
