Who makes the best pipes for a 800 stocker.....im assuming this is the single best thing one can do to a stock 800...Right..or is it clutching...What was the best year for the V-4 800

PSI Quads, for the moment, we will have to wait for KOTL to finish with his project, then we can say for sure :D:D:D

I would say clutching is the single most important thing. These sleds we clutched mildly from Yamaha..

:agree: clutching is the least expensive bang for the buck.

From what most people on this site will say, PSI makes the best pipes. I don't have em, but I would say I agree simply because they make their power at a lower rpm. Any set of quads (bender, psi, aaen,) will be a great upgrade though. all in the range of a 15-22 hp gain. Clutching is a less expensive way to see improved acceleration though. Just ask Yammiegod3:16 what set up to use for your sled and he'll get ya set up.

AAEN Quads and a little porting, that motor will spin 9000 r's.
No matter what pipes you use, you will have to clutch and jet accordingly

I would hang tight until KOTL gets his pipes done, just my .02

Best around here " OLAF AAEN"
Can't tell ya who to stay away from, don't want to chew my arm off.
If you need any info on AAEN, I can give you whatever you need. He is building my open mod 800 max-4

Let me know what you need

CONVINCER, I,LL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS BEST I CAN ON OPINION ONLY. NO, CLUTCHING IS THE BEST PERFORMANCE BANG FOR YOU BUCK. ALL THE PIPES IN THE WORLD WON,T GET IT DONE AGAINST A WELL CLUTCHED 800. ALL THE VMAX 4 WERE AWSOME, BUT 1995 800 MADE MOST STOCK H.P. !! 3:16 (tony)
