Hey guys, I just wanted to ask some of you that are currently using "roller secondarys" on your Vmax-4 what you think about them (pros and cons vs. normal button secondary.) What is the best kit in your view?
I am just finishing up my complete buildup of a '94 Vmax-4 speed run sled. It is a thoroughly built '92 750 engine with an Aerodyne Series 66 Turbocharger (not Series 53) and operates at 18-20# of boost @ 8,500 rpms.
I currently am using a '94 secondary with Hauck blue spring and helix. The primary is also a '94 with Hauck orange spring and speed shiv and adjustable Hauck weights, this is the setup I used on my 880 big bore kit. I've been looking at the adjustable helixes offered from different manufactures. I need about a 51 to 54 degree straight angle helix.
Have any of you racers used the 911 rapid response roller secondary, Dalton, Bender, or Hauck roller secondary kits? I don't want to switch to a Cat setup and after investing the dollars in this build up I don't feel like investing in a $1500 clutch setup this year. I am just looking for something better for now. Any of your opinions on secondary clutch setups would be appreciated!!! quadzilla
