So it was a complete running 750cc motor without carbs and pipes at a used sled dealer. So I asked how much they wanted and get this $1200 + Tax. I think that is a little steep considering that there are complete sleds selling for $1400 in my area. What do you guys think about this deal?

Just a note: I just picked up a 96 800 complete with 2700 miles in perfect condition for 2300.00.
I think that guy is on glue!!

Complete 93 here on pei for 1200.in excllent condition.Also a 95 with a ton off parts including a complete parts sled for 2000.

When he told me the price he said it's cause of it being a 2 stroke 4 cylinder and that they are a hard find these days. I agree with you guys he must be on some sort of drugs.

He sells new Kawasaki Quads,Bikes and used sleds of all makes. Also he says he has 100,000 in used sled parts in inventory. The Companie is called Mikes Bikes here in Sudbury.

It all depends on where you live. There seem to be a lot of Vmax4's on the eastern side of the continent. Out here in the west, they are less common. Like I've stated before, I've never seen a red Vmax4. I've only seen 1 other 800 and know of another 2 that i haven't seen. That doesn't mean they don't exist, but you can't grab the paper and find one to buy just any time you want. His price seems a bit high for you guys, but if I was looking for an engine because I'd blown mine up real good, that wouldn't be all that bad of a price. I paid over $500.00 for 4 pistons with rings 3 years ago from the dealer.

In my town here outside of Sudbury. I have seen two 93's at the gas station and one 94 on the Lake. I know of another 92 for sale in the paper. Seen only one 96 800 close to my home. There is a Polaris and Ski-Doo dealer in my town so that's what I see most on the trails. And get this when I ride through town I always get a thumbs up from people. I guess since they have not seen that many V-4's around. Wait till they see me trailering the V-Max4 Sled that I have 1/2 done already. She is going to rock!
