Finaly got to ride my sled this year!! ( besides around the yard! ) since last year I have put 800 pipes and a stinger on, 143.8 mains, 47.5 pilots, 1 1/2 turns out on the idle mixture , clip in the middle, and 6gn20 jet needles.
running a setup I got from yammie-god,
hauck blue with 1 shim
tall primary cover (8df)
89a10 weights
17.2 inners and 13.9 outters
43-37 helix with a stock spring set at b-3

I gotta tell ya ...THIS SET-UP REALLY WOKE UP MY SLEDS LOWER END...
the thing is jumping off the line tearing up the snow like never before!
I thought this sled was fast before..now it really woke up!! ...havnt had it wot for more than 5 or 6 seconds yet cause the lake isnt frozen, just played in a 500' feild for a couple of hours, but the way its been launching I know I am gonna be happy! just figured I would share this just in case anyone was curious about how to bring a 93 to life...gotta give yammie god ( Tony) all the credit though...he was right on the money with this set-up ........ Mike

sledhead,
The spring you have in your secondary, is it the yellow or pink/white? Glad to hear you like the setup and I can't wait to have mine done.
Thanks,
Doug

I used the pink/white spring Doug...havnt tryed this set-up in the trails or over 85mph yet cause we have NO SNOW:frown: but off the line and all the way up to 85 it seemed to be great...

Is that a custom cut helix from Hauck? What was your shift RPM?

Ken,
I am not sure about the helix he has but I have the same one.

What you have is a 42/37. The 43/37 is a custom cut helix. It's a 39 degree helix that they recut the ramps on, according to Hauck it's a more aggressive cut 42/37. I have one that I bought from Hauck but I haven't ran it yet.....been too busy trail riding the last couple of days.

Ken,
I got one from Dreaming. It does have 43/37 etched on it.

Okay it probably is a custom cut then. Custom cut helix's don't have any nickle on the ramps.

Ken, not sure where the helix was cut, I bought it from someone on this site 2 years ago..I forget now who I bought it from....also havnt had the sled on a wide open run for any amount of time yet but from what I can tell the shift out seems to be right around 84 ..not really sure on that yet though,,I NEED SNOW!!!!!.......... Mike

8400rpms that is...from what Tony had told me its spose to be 8350...and again that 8400 is a rough guess with the throddle wide open...track spinning like crazy...NOT...on a lake with the track hooked up ...

Your shift sounds pretty close Mike.

Hopefully I'll be giving mine a try in the next couple of days.

I had a little setback when I cut my rails for clearance for my extrovert drivers......every now and again I do something stupid!!
