A few questions.....
I should be there soon once all is done with the repairs. Can't wait to see it come toghether. So how many rivets are there to make this one peice again? Also what type are they and size? And lastly I remember something about the rivet gun? Heavy Duty type to use?
I guess I should go back and reed up on Bly123's post! But will appreciate any feedback from members.

Did mine a few years ago. I used about 30 or so 3/16" rivets with a range of 1/4"- 3/8" steel x steel. There are also the steering hoop bolts,4 to a side. I used an air operated rivet gun but i have also used a hand riveter.Works just as well just need more beer:)

i have been doing a lot ov riveting on my project and wish i would have bought the bigger handled ones takes a lot of muscle to put them bigger rivets in with my small handled gun later tim
I just broke my air riveter on a 3/16 stainless steel rivets...I am bum'd! yeah, Installing them with a hand riveter is a real work out. I am putting on a new tunnel this spring and I am planning on renting a hydrolic (can't spell today). They are really slick!

I will have to lok into renting one. Hydraulic sounds like an easy way to go for riviting.

I,ve had no problem with my air riveter even on stainless rivets.I used to use stainless rivets but their harder to pull and in my opinion don,t hold any better than steel. Also they are a pain to drill out if you have to remove them. I have literally put in 100's of these thing on various projects.Go with the steel ones!:)
