It shure sounds pretty mean...

Cool, but unfortunately its all show and no go. For now anyways.

They built it with big talk about "eating turbo Yammies" but the sled hasn't been up a hill and I seriously wonder if it ever will be. Seems everytime they tried it mechanical gremlins shut em down, and if they do get it runnin the sled can only go WOT for 15 seconds. It will be an awesome show if they ever run it though!

A 4.6 isn't a big block.

Why do you argue when you don't have a clue what you are talking about:homework:

The engine appears to be a 4-stroke supercharged motorcycle engine. Did anyone else question why he would spin the track on the trailer, the track is sitting on the trailer isn't it?

Master of Faster

Yep, its a blown 1320 Kawaski motorcycle engine. They spun the track on the trailer because they were happy just to get it started and wanted to impress everyone, lol.

I think its funny that so much time and effort was put into that sled and nobody ever said "Hey, wait, nitromethane motors don't run worth a crap in the cold!"

OOPS

He doesnt really care if it ever runs on the snow. He built it for the advertiseing value.Just imagine the thousands of snowmobilers talking about it in forums and now doing bussiness with him.
It took his shop from a hole in the wall to a reputable mountain performance shop. :super: Ya Gotta love our free Countries.

I understand all the hard work and design that went into that sled and the advertising value, but I'm sorry, to me having that kind of big iron and not making use of it is unacceptable.

How do they say it, all show, and no go?

It's great that its boosted his shop up, but cmon man, not figuring that sled out to get it on a mountain is just immorale, IMO :frown:

There was a couple guys last down by detroit that had a turbo R1 street bike motor in there sled, they said it was running about 360 HP, they rode it around on the ice for awhile, sounded real mean and fast. Thats the most i've ever seen, that was ridable..
