So, we lost. 3-2 to Sweden. Worst possible opponent and result. Silver is the best ever for Finland , but it feels quite hollow now....

The team will arriving late tonight to Helsinki. I hope there will be thousands of fans giving their welcome to them. They really deserve it. Especially Koivu and Selänne. And out great goalie Niittymäki.

I think I´ll take few now to my sorrow.

Good thing is that we beat Canada. They needed to drop down from that World Cup victory.

I hope for a big turn out at Helsinki tonight when our team arrives there. Silver at the olympic games is the best ever for us.

Ike:flagge_fiIt was a close game as expected no doubt about that. I think the swedes commanded the game except for shorter periods, therefore the win. Congratulations to you too Ike, your team had a great olympics including this last game. But there you go, one team win the gold and the other one win the silver. The finnish team should make everyone of your countrymen proud, proving finnish hockey is as strong as ever!

It came out as my dad and I expected, the finns have always seemed to have a problem with nerves, they choke near the end... I'm happy for both teams, either way it was a win for me. :D:D
Sweden will have less chance next year most likely, for many players this is probably their last olympics; Sundin, Jonsson, Axelsson, possibly Alfredsson, to name a few.
Finland can do it next year :)
