We took friends who were out here from SDak on rented sleds yesterday & were blessed with lots of powder. Quite a change from Sat when it was 40 degrees.
Had at least 6" at the snowmo parking lot & roughly 20" plus at higher altitidude. Awesome riding even if I managed to find out how big a "pig" these Max's can be if you "stick em". Big oops, lost momentum & down it went!!!
Not the best "powder" sled but I knew that getting into it. Kinda miss the Exciter lightness & nimble feeling but, the power is awesome, so I just need to watch what I drive this thing into.

Actually got pretty lucky & we got it out after about 10 minutes of "stomping snow" & 2 of us lifting it out of the hole I dug. Great riding though. Put on right at 45 miles.

I feel sorry for you "snowless guys", we have more snow in the forecast for the next week or so. Should break 200" in the next week or so!!!:snow:

Now thats what I need here in mass Rob!!! Think you could ship some out this way? I said this last winter and things just didnt work out ... but this winter Is the last one I am spending without snow, the house has been on the market for about 5 months and as soon as it sells me and the kids are heading west!! Anyway glad you got to ride I know last time I talked to you you hadnt had the chance to go yet...keep your fingers crossed for me...I would like to get at least one good day of riding here on the east coast!! .........................Mike

Hey Mike, Will use your old box, will that be enough snow?? LOL
Like I said in other post's too bad for all the "snowless" guys, that really sucks.

So when you say you want to move west, what part of "west" are you talking?

Good luck with the house sale. if you were here in this area, the real estate market is hot & if priced fairly, gone in 2-3 weeks!!!

Rob, I have been looking around western Montana (Lincoln or Seally Lake) Me and the kids took a road trip out there in the fall of 2004...loved it....came back here took about a year to finish up all the projects on the house then threw it on the market..if the house doesnt sell by the time school lets out I am just gonna take a loan against it and rent it out...headline in the paper yesterday said house sales here have just hit a 10 year low...its been taking about 6 months or so for a house to go in this area for about the last year..

good news is the lake is now frozen again so this weekend I can do some wot runs and you can hold off packing that box full of snow for me!!!! Mike

Hey Mike: I see where Seally Lake is, just northwest of Missoula.
Been through that area a few times, nice country. Good employment options there??
I know it gets a whole lot colder there than here. We generally stay in the low to mid 20's at night & generally 35-40 degrees during the day for much of the winter. Very rare to see below zero here but can have snow in the mountains well into April & May. With the snowpack we have now, I expect to ride into early May unless it gets extremely warm. Good luck on your hopes to move.
Keep me posted. Missoula is around a 12 hour drive from here.
Rob

PS: Will hold the box of snow for another week or so!!LOL:2haha:
