What kind of oil goes in the PTO shaft gear box?

I was going to put my sled away for the year,and was looking at my PTO shaft gear box and thought that since I have never checked the oil in there, I should change it but Iam not sure what oil goes in there?

standard gear oil.

i heard yamaha oils were made by esso for yamaha here in canada.

Esso is one huge companie. I never heard of them making Yamaha oils but who knows. Probably cheeper to make it here in Canada then to do it over in Japan and send it over.

And so on.......
In my shop we use what the manufacture suggests.
