Because I`ve asked several times some tips how to get my "slow longtravel srx" run proberly I`let you know some good news. Special thanks to YAMMIEGOD, you made me beliver of srx fine engine

My angle was surgered last week and I couldnt be with Ike and boys at annual 500km sled trip. So I desided take part to our club radar run and defend our yammies reputation. Classes were 600cc 800cc and open. Distances were 1000 and 2000ft.

Our class had 9 sleds and we drove 2 runs. The big surprise for me were that my sled was fastest both times and best speed at 2000ft was 166.2kmh (103mph), and 1000ft 151.8kmh (94mph). My sled has ice ripper 1 1/4 inch track, what seems to be surprisingly fast.

I`ve beat 800cc doos, poos and f7 cat. cat driver was so disapointted that he didnt show up to the trophy seremony.

racetrack was not very fast almoust an inch of soft snow slowed us down.

open class winner was turbo rx-1(apex) with 229kmh (143mph) result.

we had very nice sunday...

Samueljackson wanted to bring his 540Vmax, but... that bucket didn´t want to run. At this point we are just out of ideas. We have ridden that bugger 100 km´s in 3 winters!! Talk about nerves!!!:2dontknow :Flush:

It´s now in pieces again, and problem solving is going on.

Our vintage sled scene is not that strong here yet. No racing, just restoring.:drink1:

I wish I could share info on the 540 but not farmiliar with it,They are sweet/evil looking sled.Just got the info for the srx440 but YG has the best answers on that sled.There seems to be vintage shows here all the time,They go with every little towns festivious occasions in the winter.

Next saturday Samueljackson and our cousin are racing again at sodankylä airport. He´ll race his SRX, Vmax540 and the ole SR-V.

only two nights before race and I havent done enough testing. Anyway it feels so. Our goal (me and my cousin Heikki) is to get one podium finish. SR-V will be near victory at stock fan class.

I think Little vmax 540 wont win stock 600 cc, new 600 cc sleds have 40 hp advantage and that is too much. And my SRX at stock 800 cc will break 100 mph limit thats sure but it wont go much faster because long travel suspension slows it down. We will see Is little over 100 mph enough to podium...

Just came home from long raceday and results. Our "team yammigod" were strong. We ran two distances 2000 ft and 1000 ft, track was icy (very slippery without studs). So we had 3 victories, 2 seconds places and one third place from 6 race.

I won stock fan class with SRV, results was 137 kmh 85.15 mph / 128kmh 79.55mph

And little max (vmx540) was stronger at stock 600cc class than I expected. It was third at longer 2000 ft distance with 156.5 kmh 97.27 mph and equl 1st at 1000ft 148 kmh 92mph. Fastest were doo rev with 100mph/2000ft.

My cousin heikki drove my SRX stock under 800cc class. He took 2nd place at both distances, 170.8 kmh 106.15 mph / 153kmh 90.09 mph. One F7 cat was untouchable with 184 kmh 114mph. There were rumous that it aint stock?
