Well, Samueljackson and I replaced my old Yokohama with a new RipSaw this weekend. Need to replace few bearings to the skid etc. Real problem occured when Samueljackson opened my sledīs chaincase ...

Chain was in pretty good condition, same as the upper gear but the bottom gear (37 tooth stock) showed some signs of wear.I asked from our dealer obout the chains and gears: 176 € for gear and 292 € for 70L chain..:2dontknow . Anyway, Iīd like gear down to a 39 since I got a bigger lug track now.

My question :

Are HAUCK chains and gears any good, or will I have to change to hole deal to a SRX (ī00 -up) system? Those prices are bit "big" for my liking...

And what do you guys use as gearing and gears? Help a fellow V4 owner out...

22/39 for 660 set-up on the improver. I think my cost on a 39 lower gear 17 wide is around 70 bucks. The yamaha gears and chain for those sleds are pretty spendy. Can get one and ship it to you if you need it.

Not sure about the Hauck stuff but as far as I know the SRX chains & gears will not work.

I am running the stock 37/24 setup for trail riding with a 121" .920 track w/192 picks.

DUDE, WHAT MAKES YA THINK YOU CAN RUN SRX STUFF. I BE REAL CAREFUL IF YA EVEN ATTEMPT IT. 00/02 SRX USED HYVO 13 WIDE GEARS AND CHAIN. MIGHT BE ALITTLE LITE FOR VMAX 4. I WOULD GO WITH YAMAHA 8BU STUFF. 3:16 (tony)

That was what I tought also. I was just a suggestion from a Yamaha mechanic...
