Last Christmas I found out I was moving from Maryville, Tennessee back to Oshkosh, Wisconsin. So the first thing I did was to get on e-Bay and look for the snowmobile of my dreams, V-Max 4. I used to own a Vmax 600 years ago and loved it but always wanted the 4. Well in March I found a 95 V-Max 800 with 910 miles I got it for 1900 dollars. The original owner showed me the bill of sale from when he bought it for almost 10 grand. Wow he paid over 8 dollars for every mile he put on the sled. Anyway except for the studed track and the replaced black windscreen its all stock and is absulutly beautiful.
Anyway I've lurked in here for almost 6 months and thought I'd introduce myself. I've owned a few sleds over the years (old dude, 44). I'll be riding mine around Lake Winnebago mostly on ice.:vmax4:

Note the FJR, I'm a dedicated Yamahauler.

The FJR is a Great Wisconsin Bike,,,, Mine is a 2003,,, Its got some heat problems, on a hot day it becomes almost unbearable, lots of heat coming from the engine heating up the gas tank and a lot of heat coming off the catalitic converter, heating up your feet. If I lived in Florida I'd trade it, but for Wisconsin its awesome, how many days are above 90. The Newer 2006 FJR Yamaha addressed and supposedly fixed those problems with a different Fairing. As far as two up riding on a trip its very good for a day trips 4-6 hours, very comfortable. Its no Wing or even close to the comfort of the BMW K1200LTe that the FJR replaced, but it was never supposed to be. Power is very impressive handling is also very good. It does what its supposed to do in those departments. Last year I sold my 2005 ZX-10R because of a reckless driving ticket, it doesn't have that kind of power and handling. Its a great compromise, I love it.....
