New to this forum. I go with "2blu7" on many other forums. This is the first time I have been dealing with an 800 Max, so I figure might as well join up! Lots of sledding history-I ride another brand primarily, but got a smokin' deal on a 97 800 that I would like to "flip" ( as in "flip this house", not literally flip the sled). I have browsed here before and figure if I can not sell this unit then the spot for tuning resources will be here. I hav eowned quite a few Yamaha sleds and a couple of bikes; 1973 GPX 433-F, 1979 250,300,340. 1991 570 EXII and my favorite Yam to date, the 1993 SX 570. I bought a 1988 Yamaha Radian 600 new with my graduation money! What a screamer that was! Faster than shit in the 1/4!. My SX was a sweet sled in it's day. When it was used for fun it was all set up with the hot stuff from Bender and USI skiis, FOX shoX, studs etc. I only trail rode it for two yrs. then got into grass-ice dragging in the 94-95 season. It hauled ass in 660 ft. I had set up help from a teammate from MI who won the World Series on a Phazer back in the day (Dave Hall and Gary Ambrose-"The Animal"). I wound up getting like a 3rd place season end points in D-stk. that yr racing the cat 580's, Doo 583's and Polaris 580-600's. Anyways thats my story. Thanks for letting me in!
