Yes Sami I hope you do get your machine ready before all the snow comes. I have a few things left on my list. Now that it is November should see snow real soon.

Actually yes. I swapped my broken and bendt Vmax skis to Simmons Flexi-Ski®, they were under on one of the sled at work. My boss said Ok when I suggested it :) I think I made a good deal :) Tomorrow holiday so maybe I put them under my Vmax. I still have a bit work with the hood, tighten the track, some work with the side panels etc. but nothing big.

Cool about the ski swap. Keep us posted with more photos. It is really neat to see it come back toghether again. More time is what I need for my sled I can only work on it late into the night because of my 2 kids and work schedule.

Today I installed the skis with my father-in-law. Also installed the handlebar with the 1" raiser, brake and throttle cables, coolant and chaincase oil. Must still check the alignment of the skis. Still quite a lot of sanding on the hood and must laminate the support brackets. A lot of small work but slowly getting there.
A bit of an funny thing happened while installing the skis; father-in-law's father(now 87 years old) came and took a look at the original skis and then looked at the Simmons skis and said "Yeah, these new ones are better, they eliminate darting because of the dual keel and floats really great!". He must be some old timer hardcore sledder :)

Yeah, me too. Now the work is a bit slow so I have once or twice per week a holiday but soon the winter season starts and I will probably have one holiday per 2 weeks so I really want to finish my sled before that.

Your plastic skiis look awesome on the sled. Them being lighter than steel should make a nice addition to your Max. Keep up the great work Sami :urock:
