What Type of weld for pipe???

I am just wondering what is the best type of weld to use on snowmobile pipes, My AAEN trail pipe on my srv has developed a crack on both sides at the first bend from the manifold, and it seem like its thinner metal than the stock pipe, so would not want to burn through.....mig weld......or should I have it done with a tig machine?????

Best would probably be to tig it, but a good welder could probably mig it. Personally, I'd pay sombody to tig it.

I did some Mig welding this summer on my buddy's pipes. Took alot of time and patience to do it but it worked out in the end. Better than the $420 for a new stock exhaust muffler pipe for his Exell 3.

I would have someone experianced with a tig welder do it. i would`nt take any chances my self.
