Top speed test run at Muhos 3.2.2007

Just signed in to run again in a speedrun at Muhos. Just like last time it´ll be 1 km WOT twice. Just hoping for good snowconditions this time, not ice like last time... ( see that topic here--> http://www.vmax4.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=258 )

It´ll take place 3rd of feb ´07.

We´ll take Samulejackson´s SRX 700 and the Vmax 540. My V4 will stay home this time.

Is this a 1000' speed run (radar run) or drags? Bare with me, I can't understand much of the language. Looks like a lot of big dog sleds involved. Fill me in bud! You'll have to convert feet and kph into mph for me...(I'm not up on my metric system).

For "speed runs" the general rule is you basically reach full mph potential at about 1400 ft. after that the laws of gravity kick in! You generally start to create heat and friction which generally causes the sled to ummmm...die at some point! if any of you have a chance watch a good radar some time, pay attention to how quick the mph build 'till 1400 ft. then they flatline out.

Yep. 1 km (3280 Feet) WOT speedrun. We´ll bring Samueljackson´s SRX 700 (the longtravel one) and the old Vmax540.

Last year I ran my Vmax4 there. Beat all the 1000 SDI Doo´s there. All except one renegade which was tied with me at same speed. So much for the new iron. Speed is measured by radar and by average speed from the last 100m. Reimond burned his 902cc Hauck there last year...

Results. SRX broke a chain. Pics will follow.

Track was very soft so speeds were slow. About 10cm 4" of loose snow slowed us down. Anyway I`ll was 4th fastest stock sled on track. My SRX ran 100 mph and rx 1 -07, f1000 -07 and f7 were faster than me. I were faster than bunch of modded sleds. Powertrain on my sled was spot on.

Old Vmax540 was really close to the new sleds. Second run was slower because we changed the secondary a bit softer. Well, we learn something everytime we race LOL
