Well, I'm back at work after going to the Novi Snowmobile Show last night. It was snowmobile heaven, as always. I got 2 giant Yamaha bags full of catalogs, literature, brochures, and coupons to go through.
The Yamaha display was awesome, as usual. Got to sit on some of the new iron. Very nice, but I'll keep my Vmax-4, thank you. Steve Agdorny was there with his crew. I didn't get a chance to talk to Steve this time as he was keeping busy in the Yamaha compound. I did talk to John Brezloff (hope I spelled that right), one of Steve's crew members. I told him that we were happy to have Agdorny Racing as members here. He said that they are just out there racing and doing what they love to do. They didn't realize that we were watching them until they came and checked us out. They're gonna think I'm the vmax4.com ambassador or something. I'm just thrilled that they're still racing the Vmax-4 professionally. Don't worry guys, I'm not a stalker! The Improved Stock 800 Vmax-4 sled was in the Wiseco booth.
I got a chance to meet lokn4sno at the Port Yamaha booth. Got a Yamaha shirt for my Grandson. It's a little big, but he will grow into it. Thanks Jeff. I hope you and Jeff are able to come up to the Vmax-4 ride in the U.P.
Stopped over at Rich Motorsports a couple of times, but Rich has such good deals that he was mobbed with customers!
Aaen performance had a badass 4-wheeler sand dragster. I wish I had brought my camera. It looked like a 4-cylinder Banshee.
I walked around the place a dozen times. Didn't want to miss anything, ya know? I have to say that I wasn't too impressed with the new hall. I actually found it harder to find my way around because it's one big open space, nothing to get your bearings on, like the food court.
Anyone else have a chance to go yet?
I forgot to mention that I talked to a guy at the Reichard's Performance Center booth and asked him about the legendary 6-cylinder Vmax-4 engine. I wanted to know if he had any information on it. He said no. I asked if there was maybe anything left over at the shop that he could email me and he said he didn't think so. He said that there were only 2 produced. They were 285Hp and cost around $10,000 to develop. He doesn't know where they are now.
