If I swap stock 800 pipes to my new 750 do I just swap the stock 800 jets as well for the jetting change (143.8s)? or can I go leaner? (sea level with stock carb venting)

Thanks

IZZ, I run 141.3 mains in my 92 with 800 pipes at sea level. I probably could go leaner but I run a Holtzman Tempa Flow, it automatically leans jetting for temperature changes. Here is a link to the site.

They also have the ATACC : (Automatic Temperature and Altitude Carburetor Compensator) You can read about both of them at the link..

Thanks for the quickness Dean, Im hip to the Holtzman products, they sound great, kinda like the best of both worlds (carburation & EFI)
Im just not wantin to put no $ in this super clean machine this year, its all goin to my 800. Im takin the quads off the 750 for my 800 so Im replacing them with my 800s pipes.
I got a set of 138.8s, would you be afraid to go that lean?

I'd feel safe with that, I ran mine with 132 mains WOT for a while when I first got it. I think the were on the edge of being too lean for a 7 mile WOT run. They were very light tan, almost white but more tan.

Cool, thanks Dean - thats what Ill put in for now then and we'll see how the plugs look. Are you runnin stock pilots, air screw and needle clip position then? With your 800 pipes.

I run everything as a 95 800 came with stock.

I have the whole 800 rack of carbs on mine now, and the whole 92 rack with the 132's on the shelf..
