Hey guys, I was just wondering about quad pipes, seeing as now that I have been reading more and looking at pictures of your sleds, reminds me of the winter fun, what would you recommend as a good set for my 92 750, and what do stingers do? Along with where would be a good place to pick some up, other then on this site :D
Also, has anyone installed a big bore on their sled? Or thought of it? With the 4 cylinders it would seem ideal to me, get a nice 225cc per :D:D No replacement for displacement, except a turbo, haha.
Thanks, Lewis

Sry to bother everyone again, but what are the main performance shops for the max, the list seems to be getting shorter every day...
Hey racer7x, or Dean?, wha is that address to send contributions? I have been a member long enough to give some for the team. :D
Thanks, Lewis

Hey Lewis..You are at the right place to learn about the vmax 4.Quad pipes on a 92 can be a bit of a pain. The 92,93,94 models had some crankshaft twisting issues when using most of the quad pipes. The cure is to weld the center drive gears to the crank.
The cdi ignition has a rev limiter and has to be changed to run the quads to either an aftermarket one (if you can find one)that was sold by Bender racing, or R.P.C. Or switched to one from an 800 Vmax4.This is because most aftermarket quad pipes with the exeption of some PSI rev right around 9000 rpm.which is too much for the stock ignition.
Twin pipes made by R.P.C ,Bender , or PSI is a nice upgrade as is the exhaust from an 800 vmax . Twins are all around a 10 HP upgrade on the 750 and run at stock rpm.Stingers do nothing exept make noise and reduce a bit of weight

:agree: with rdl, good post :D, Thanks
I will look into the cdi and pipes, I haven't gotten my sled into the garage yet (my dad+girlfriend bought a new house, and at my mom's she won't let me work in the garage) so when I start taking it apart I will ask more on things that you guys think I should do, including this welding of the gear :S, also would it be possible with a MIG or would I need TIG,oxyacetalean???
Thanks Lewis
