I have the same rear suspension problem I read in an earlier post... back end is flat to ground with or without weight (it will stay up if pulled up)
Is it worth the kayaba shocks and springs replacement cost? I've already done the cheap shock drill and that didn't last long.
How about an M10? New shocks and springs are about the same cost...
M10 is a plush ride, but you lose top end with it + the mounting of it is a task. And on top of that you have tune it in, so the weight isnīt all on the skiīs.
New shocks / springs are costly, but they bolt just on.
So with a lot of work you can get a M10 to fit and work, but itīs just easier to get new shocks and ride them. What do you prefer ? Long travel M10 or stock skid with new shocks?

Why not swap it out for an XT or SRX rear skid. Lots of information on this forum on how to. I have an XT in mine from the previous owner and it rides fine.

thanks jersey joe.. i've heard about the swaps, not sure if I'm up for the work though. where can the suspensions be found?

Your local Yammie dealer, but then they ust might cost.
Usually here in Finland we have all kinds of shocks in the sled catalogs with lower cost. By make and model. Donīt know the situaton there.
That should be a good project for summer time, to take the skid off, check it all around and replace worn parts.

Sounds like you've got more going on than just a shock problem. Maybe busted rods or shock mount. Take a good close inspection. I've seen parts on e-bay all summer ,cheap too !
