Hello everyone. I'm new to the site. My wife just picked up a VMAX 4 that needs quite a bit of work. Attached are some pictures of the sled in my garage. I'm currently looking for a pair of front struts and possibly some cans. A pair of original skis would be great too. I also need the right side scissor bracket.
Here is a link to a web site I put together with some pictures of it. I think my little Polaris TX will have a hard time trying to keep up with her!

Any tips on cleaing this thing up would be appreciated too. So far I've found WD-40 to be great for cleaning the grime. Any tips for cleaning and polishing the aluminum? I already know... Lots of hours and elbow grease!!!

mj,
Welcome to the site!
Just a lot of time and elbow grease for the cleaning up of the sled!
If your cans are not dented to bad, I would just take them to a body shop and let them pull the dents out and repaint it, then you can just get the original decals and noone will ever tell they where dented.
I think you may be right about the TX trying to keep up!

Welcome to the site! :schild27: Things get a little slow around here this time of year, but there's lots of great information on this site. Ask any questions you may have, because there are a few of us who come here every day.
You've already met Roadrunner, who is the king of show & shine! :4fzfk2: :4fzfk2: :4fzfk2: Every time he posts pictures of his stuff I have to get out my sunglasses!
ebay is a good place to get parts, although maybe not this time of year. I've got a few sets of skis out in the trailer. I could probably part with a set if you don't find anything before the next snow.

I know what you mean but just because Yamaha thinks they are made of
gold does not mean you can get even close to that for used ones.
