Hi all, first thing I have to say is awesome website/forum!! Its great to have resources when it comes to these sleds, especially when you are new to them.
My father and I own a 1996 Vmax 4. It shows 6300 KM on odometer. We are located in Woodstock Ontario, Canada, just east of London.

Thanks for the welcome, its great to be here!!
Yes the Vmax is in excellent shape, and all stock as far as I can tell. Havn't ridden it yet though, got it a couple weeks ago. This is going to be a loooong summer!

I have a question though, if I may ask it here just quick instead of starting another thread...are parts still available new from Yamaha? Things like piston rings, gaskets, ignition etc? Ours doesn't need anything though:clap:

New parts are still available through Yamaha, but they're pricey. ebay has a lot of "new old stock" auctions and is a good place to find parts. If you're ever looking for anything specific, post it here and chances are that someone has it or knows where to get it.

Thanks for the information, its good to know that I can still get new parts from the dealer if they are needed.
