Im just wondering if there is an easy way to determine whick PSI pipes I got with a 96 vmax 800 wrecked chassis. Stinger size or pipe outlet size?
Thanx for the help

I remember that one way to tell if they are the trail pipe or the race pipe was to stick a piece of wire up into the pipe itself and see if you could feel a baffle. The trail pipes had internal silencers built into them. What are you doing with the sled? Parting it out or rebuilding?

I have two sleds. Both are 96 vmax 800s. I baught one that has been asphalt raced before and am taking it to its first race next weekend. It came with bender pipes and the other wreck I baught had a blown engine(or at least 2 seized pistons) and I have been using it for parts, the tunnel was wrecked and seat is gone, but otherwise every thing is there. I sent out the damaged cylinders and got them ported and replated for the drag sled. As for the PSI pipes that came with the parts sled, was there a power difference from trail to mod pipes?

ANSWER TO THE MOST INPORTANT QUESTION IS THERE NO DEFFERENCE IN HP OR RPM AND TORQUE BETWEEN TRAIL AND MOD BLASTERS. !! SOUND ONLY. 3:16 (yammie tony)

This is from what I have read and been told.

750 pipes 7/8" or 1" pipe outlet size.

800 pipes 1 1/8" pipe outlet size.

On all sets check for the internal baffle to determine trail/mod blasters.

Also if you want to modify your engine then the Modblasters are the way to go.
