well i have located 2 differnt skids for my 93. it may be so long to the 121" and hello to a 03 151" rx1 skid.
500 miles on it for 350 bucks cad

how hard is it to install the 151 skid?

i also found a 136 from a 2001 Mountain Cat.

Yeah I was wondering about that also? Wouldn't the tunnel be too small then for a longer skid? I don't know if I should keep my SC-10 or not, what do you think? Sry to take your post off topic busted max, it was just something raking at my brain
Thx, Lewis

yea, a tunnel extention would be needed.

no need to get rid of your sc10!! they are a good suspension.

Really? You think I should keep it? If it is good then more money for something else, like a new seat :S biggest rip in history (not really true)
Thx, Lewis

Chris
The 03 RX1 was damn near the same as the 97 MM 136. I have the measurements thet I used but I think the setup that RedWhiteandBlue used will work as well. The 151 should mount the same as the 136. The only difference would be the amount of rail behind the last mount and the length of the tunnel extension.

When I did my swap I was able to borrow a buddies sled that had the same skid from the factory, helped alot to take measurements. Just use the driveshaft and the top of the tunnel as reference points. This is assuming you can find a sled to take measurements from.

The RX-1 came with a 151? Don't you mean the RX Warrior?

The rx warrior is the same sled, just a longer track. Unless, the sled was longtracked.

Even the YAMAHA dealer said it when we were looking at an RX warrior, and an rx-1, because my dad wanted to buy one... Then, he said that the RX warrior was just the long track version of the RX-1.. And it did look like that.

The RX-Warrior is a 136" track.

An RX-1 Mountain is a 151" track.

Is this it?? You could probably get an RX-1 longtrack add on, and put it in your vmax4, a couple brackets here in there, a couple new holes, and it'll work...

That boy might have a substance abuse problem.
Chris, I have the measurements that I took off my 97 vmax600 that I used for my 95 with the 97 MM skid. I did the driveshaft and top of tunnel method for referance points. Seemed to work fine fro me. I still have them written on a paper in the shop.
