LIKE HAUCKS BLUE SPRING, THERE SEEMS TO BE ALOT OF CONFUSION ABOUT THIS CHANGE. FIRST THE HEART OF THE 800 EXHAUST IS THE Y MANIFOLD. THIS WHERE THE H.P. IS FOUND, I WOULD CHANGE EVERYTHING OUT BECAUSE THERE IS CONFUSION ON WETHER THE PIPES ARE THE SAME. GET A COMPLETE SYSTEM OFF A 800 IF YOU CAN. NOW, THERE IS A 9 HORSE POWER GAIN ON THE 93-94 750VMAX. ALTTLE LESS ON THE 92. YOU CAN JUST ABOUT GET TO 150 H.P.! VERY INPORTANT TO JET UP, WON,T WORK WITH 750 JETTING , YOUR 750 WILL BE SO LEAN IT WON,T RUN.
GO TO:
143.8 MAINS
AIRSCREWS. 2 TURNS IN

Quick question here, I have a 92 750 with the 750 size psi quads (8300 rpm, I think thats the trailbaster??)...got a good base line to jet that. I know the sled does not have the stock jets in it....I have heard that this set up you have to fat'n it up instead of leaning it out like the 800's with the higher rpm pipes.

YOU PROBLEY HEARD RIGHT. SEE DUDE AGAIN ITS CONFUSEING BECAUSE WITH QUADS ON A 800 VMAX 4, ALL THE SPEC SHEETS SAY TO LEAN THEM OUT. REASON BEING LARGE CRANK CASE VOLUME ON THIS ENGINE ALLOWS YA TO SAFELY DO THIS. INTURN, SLEDS NOT RICH AND PIPES GET HOT FASTER AND MAKE H.P.!! INPORTANT THING HERE IS GRADE OF FUEL YOUR USEING. GAS WAS BETTER 10 YEARS AGO THAN NOW, GUESS WHEN YOUR IN DOUBT, JET FAT !! SOUND LIKE THE JETTING HAS ALREADY BEEN CHANGED ON YOURS. PROBLEY RICH,IN UP !! 3:16 (tony)

I purchased a full 800 set up 2 years ago and have not installed them yet. They came with 141.3 mains. Will this be too lean for Michigan's UP and 4 degree - 30 degree temps?

I just dont want to run the risk of a meltdown!!!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I put over 5000 miles on my 96 V4 on the trails of the UP with that setup plus having the needle leaned one clip,
however -30 is a little too cold for my blood.
I will wait for it to warm up to a balmy -15 or so, I have road at -26 and it's no fun at best but hey when you plan
a trip 4 month's in advance what are you going to do!

Small typo eh!

You leaned it one on the clip from the factory setting and ran the jets you sent with the pipes?
KOOL!!
I know from the factory most sleds are pretty rich to be on the safe side.
This MUST make the sled snappy like a -4 degree F. morning.
Thanks!!!!

wow I didīnt knew that and I just put on some 800 yīs/pipes and exhaust on a 93 750! Maybe I better jet up to be on the safe side!

But it runs great though. I have 135 mains on now. But it would be bad if I had a melt down on the engine if I dont jet up. Better do it as soon as possible.

Yeah man, you got that right. It freaked me out to see his post on the board. I thought maybe he had come back to see us. Maybe someday.
