Dude, I smoked that hill a couple weeks ago. Went up it with no problem. Actually had to let off the gas the last 1/4 of the way up. Coasted up the rest of it. No kidding. Glad to hear your friends made it too!!!!! I need to change my skid bad. The rear shock is blown AGAIN. I don't even want to replace it, just get a new suspension under it. How much did you pay for yours???
For that 95' I'd make sure the carbs are clean, drain any gas that was left in the tank, check oil, new plugs, put a couple fresh gallons in the tank, then give it a few pulls. My 92' always starts. I'm sure your new 95 will too!!! Let us know, and How about a few PICS???????
what did it take to put the rx1 suspension under your V-max4 my wife's is already done but mine is a rough ride these sleds were built as lake sleds not trail upgrades are necessary

The M10 that i had in my 95 was worth every penny. i could have improved on the settings but anything smaller than a rmk sized bump was nothing. I did a lot of jard core bush riding and the guys at the time on rev's and anything else were exhausted at the end of a day and i was fine. i just looked at the new fast M20 air and the site also has a mountain skid that related track adjustment to skid angle somehow. this looked really neat as my only complaint was that the M10 had to be run pretty loose to keep from bending axles in the really rough stuff. I even used to double my wife with the M10 and it still worked amazing. I just had to learn to stay back and not let the st dive into a deep hole....As long as i stayed on the throttle and hit stuff under power it never bottomed once.

i rode about 6.5 hours today and the only thing that doesnt hurt is my back. I have a 92 vmax4 750 with rx1 suspension and skid frame, i love the way my sled rides. the only thing i dont like about it is the gas mileage.

i know this is kinda ols but are you guys saying the rx1 skid makes for even worse gas mileage? why?

A taller skid makes the track go around more suspension parts at sharper angles creating more resistance. It is very common to lose speed and mileage with a taller skid. My 92 with stock skid can be pushed with easy on hard pack. My RX1 is almost impossible to push.

hmmm i understand your theroy and i suppose your right but where are the sharper turns on a taller suspension? i would think the talled it gets the "looser" the turns would get?? anyways thats for the input
