Hi guys!

I would like to share my small project for you. DIY Lambda meter. Electrical components are around 10$ and Lambda sensor could be found from junk yard pretty cheap (20$?)

Here is some back ground info from voltage levels and A/F ratios. Your target is to measure A/F ratio 12.6:1 where full power is. It's around 0.8vdc from sensor:

Here is diagram for 10 led and 20 led (pro) meter:

I made 20led version.

When you have ready board, you have to adjust trimmers to right voltage areas. In 10 led model, voltage steps are 0,1v between leds and 20 led model 0,05v (this is more accurate). For this you need two power suply. other for 7-30vdc for meter and other for sensor simulation 0-1vdc (Lean end led in on 1vdc and rich end led is on with 0,1vdc).

This meter works in 4 stroke engine very good and 2 stroke engine only on full throttle.
It is recomented to use heated sensor witch is installed in largest part on exhausts pipe.

Here is info from Bosch sensors:

I will update pictures from final product on this week.

Yup, I used to make those few years ago. You can run it on dot-or bar-mode also, that schematics is for the dot mode but if you connect the pin-9 to pin-3(the voltage) then you will have it in bar-mode. I don't remember if you had to connect the first LM-circuit's pin-9 also, my memory is fading...But a very nice project for those dark evenings! I have a photo of the my meter somewhere...*edit:found it*

I`m speechless!:D good job on the thingy.:D :banana_1:
I plan on making one, but i need to finish up with my flux capacitor first. my time machine is almost ready, and then its off to one of those :urock:

It indicates the Air:Fuel ratio, have you ever seen the jet-for-power meter? very cool :urock:
