Hello folks, I've been watching this site for about a year now and finally registered. I have a 94 Vmax4 with 10,000 miles on it. All of my riding has been in northern NH, Maine and Quebec. I love this sled, I'll never sell it. Most of my riding is usually alone, I've done several 350+ mile days and set my highest single mileage day on this sled at 456 miles. The sled has never let me down. I have not ridden it since 1999, just keeping it safely stored. I also have a 93 Exciter II (bought used) which I am restoring, a 2000 SRX with 9900 miles on it and an 03 RX-1 with 6000 miles. I have not ridden in 3 years due mainly to an excessive workload. There is a lot of expertise on this site. Thanks!

Welcome to the site! :schild27: :schild27: :schild27:
I've taken a lot of solo rides with my sled as well, which bothers my wife (and my Mom:rolleyes: ), but we always make it back on one piece. Don'y worry, your sled is just hibernating, he'll be ready when you are.

I have found there is something very addictive about owning a Vmax4. I'm actually thinking about getting an 800 cc model and perform several upgrades to it while leaving my 1994 alone in stock condition. Many of my fellow riders would laugh when I told them I was going to take my Vmax4 on long Quebec tours. They used to refer to my sled as the "Buick". I can't tell you how many times i towed one of their Skidoos, polaris or Arctic cat sleds out of the woods and to a dealer. The last guy I towed had a particularly loud mouth about my sled. I towed that SOB at about 80 miles an hour for about 5 miles. I hardly knew he was behind me. He never disrespected the trusty old Vmax4 again.

Wow, 456 miles in one day?! That's awesome, I gotta go wherever it is you are riding! Where I do my riding, a 125 mile day is good, if you do 200 miles you're doing awesome.
I've been to Quebec a few times, I could see riding 450 miles in a day there. The trails are so sweet, flat, and wide up there. Only problem is gas can get scarce in some parts.
