Can some of you guys with Aaen pipes give me your opinion on them. Do they gain or loose low end torque ? Are the silencers rebuildable ? Does anyone have pictures they can post ? What other mods have each of you guys done ? What's the different clutch engagement RPM for each of you ? thanks.

They do have alot of bottomend..I have a set on my 96 BB..Tho I never trail rode these pipes I think they would work real well in the trails..The only thing is you have to cut your side panel to exit 3 of the pipes and the other go's thru the stock hole..

So let me get this right........anyone who runs Aaen quads has to cut their side panel or is there a modification or different set on silencers that can be used so you don't have to cut the panel ? If anyone has pictures of the side panel holes I would like to see them. thanks.

Its not a big deal to cut the panel, its way down on the bottom. Those quads work very well on the trail. Like Inline says, they are a low ended pipe and they will pull you out of the slump at a much lower rpm than some of the peaky pipes. They are also a good pipe for racing as long as the motor fires at 90 degrees and spins in the 8400 to 8800 range. As far as engagement, it all depends on what your planning to do with the sled. There is no "one size fits all"
So are you saying that the aaen quads are not good if the motor fires at 180? I was told to run the pipes at 9000 rpm, that's where they make the most hp.

Somebodys hosin ya. A 180 motor should spin 10K plus. Aaens pipes will not turn 9K and make power, thats if they are the Aaen trail pipes.

Aaen pipes loose horsepower above 9000 rpm dramatically. If your motor is stock clutch it for 8700 -8800 rpm. If it is ported 8800 -8900 rpm. They have very good low end torque. Therefore if you are trail riding with these pipes 4200 - 4500 rpm engagement is fine.
