Which is the better replacement primary for this sled? My Marshall catelog does not have the # for the 4-Pro. Does anybody know the correct part # for a 97 Vmax4? Thanks

I think the pro4 for the V4 is discontinued, The 108 works good when calibrated properly.(polaris wieghts and springs work the best) http://www.hoffcocomet.com/comet/yamaha-snowmobile-calibrations.asp

Thanks, What polaris weights and spring combination works well? Not sure if I'm buying quads, would like to just start with silencers and a decent clutch setup.

What's wrong with the stock OEM Yamaha primary?

Inner sheave is completely shot.

Inner sheave is completely shot.
I would buy a new inner sheave (8BV-17611-11-00 SHEAVE, PRIMARY FIXED $88.67) and call it good, just my .02

I might do that as well. I am a Marshall dealer so I can get a new Comet pretty reasonable. This primary is in pretty bad shape.

Polaris blue spring, polaris 10- series wieghts. Actual gram will depend on what rpm you need to run at and what secondary setup you have..

Thanks, How does the 108EXP compare to the stock primary?
