Thanks to you Randy and Tonya for the nice words, it was a whole bunch of fun being with you guys (and girls) in Gaylord. That sled of yours is one "BADASS" max and I pity any poor chum that lines up next to that thing in 800 pro-stock! Ya ride it like ya stoled it too. I've got some good videos and pics of all the sleds that I will send to Dean once I go through them and pick out the good ones. Got one of yours at the line and then pulled the trigger on the camera again on the yellow light. All that showed up in that pic is a rooster tail of ice, sled was gone by the time the shutter opened. Piemans (Brakes) Max-4 Improver and Terry Burmeisters 700 pro-stock max-4 ran strong too. She's a stout little 700 4 cyl. Boys got the mod SRX running strong, Terry and Dave Jr need a little bit of clutch work yet along with our improver but we will get them over by hoagie this summer. Got a pic of the stocker blowin by the redbulb too,,,,LOL Rest assured we will rondevous next year for the series and keep the max-4s in the eyes of the public.
I think the big one to beat next year is Bills blender :653:
Say hello to Hen
TOYDOC, those beers tasted damn good, could have used a few more. Hopefully you can make it to Gaylord next year too

As I said on the phone Dave...CONGRATS!!! I know its been a long road for you and the crew to get a few of these done, but the reward at the end is worth the sleepless nights and BS a guy goes thru to achieve the goal. It's truly something that can't be understood unless you've taken the time to completely research, develope, and build one of these.
I think this has been a start of an amazing year and rebirth for the Vmax-4 from setting World Speed Records to tearing up the ice and competition in 660' these sleds are back! I can only imagine what the 2008-2009 season will hold.
Again Congrats Dave and crew enjoy the ride!

Pete, Great meeting you, and some of the other guys in Gaylord. Was busy with my hands in the clutching all day, and didn't get to walk around much. Couldn't figure out why it was engaging so high, until the end of the day,...my rollers were not the ones I wanted in there. :cussing:
Turning wrenches till morning hours will do that to ya, as the sled was finally setup running basically 30 hours before it hit the ice.
Terry

Your heads not up your a** Shark,,,ya just forgot to take off your sunglasses. I was going to shoot you a PM and tell you to head up there but we just ran out of time. Like Terry said, we were all pushed to the wire to get those things on the trailer. Everybody that went with us was out of gas before we even left. I will make it a point to let you know next time we are heading in that direction, I have been looking forward to shaking your hand for a long time now. We even stopped in Grand Blanc on the way to Detroit to say hello to ALP but nobody I talked to knew him. You will have to drag him along next year, I can guarantee you guys will have a ball. I think you will start to see Michigan ice drag racing come back hard, you have the right guys over there to make it happen

1500 boats,
Assuming that each boat has an 8' beam with 1 foot in between for bumpers, thats just over 2.5 miles of rafted boats. Sounds like a blast
