Gift from Yamaha

I loaned my Vmax to Yamaha for their 40th anniversary meeting two weeks ago. All the european snowmobile dealers (over 200 ) were gathered to a week long meeting to Rovaniemi. They test rode the 09 sleds + had a chance to see a sled from all the 4 decades of Yamaha snow machines (SL351, SW440, SR-V 540, Vmax-4 800 MountainMax, The SR-V and Vmax-4 were Samueljackson´s and mine).

So anyway I got a call from Yamaha and they asked to know what size riding gear I used. Today I got a package. It included Team Replica FX gear and the 40th anniversary collector´s edition book.

I would have been honered just to have them show the sled!! but the gift thats great. abuddy of mine had a artic crap 700 sabercat,artic cat borrowed it because they could not figure out why he blew 3 chain cases!!! all they gave him was excusses.:vmax4:

Very nice, Ike. I agree, it would have been cool enough for Yamaha to ask to display your sled, but to have them send you those gifts was really cool. Class act on Yamaha's part. They must be looking at all of the pictures that you post here and how well your sled is taken care of.

I remember getting a package from Yamaha the season after I bought my sled and it had a Vmax-4 poster, hat, keychain, and lapel pin. I think there was also a letter thanking me for buying the sled. I thought that was a classy move.

we can now understand why we ride yamis faithfully and when they see some of the old iron i,m sure it brings back many memories to the sucess of yamaha over the years and 2 see how far they have come in the last 6 years with the 4 strokes when every body said they would,ent work and not last well we done all that and a hole bunch more and now the rest are trying to play catch up and all they can do is see our snow flap waving good buy lol

When I purchased my 1992 they did the same thing plus a technical orientation with Yamaha and Bender racing.
