Air Box or filters?

Has anyone used like aftermarket k&n filters in place of the stock air box or is it not that benifical? I took off the air boxes to flush out the carbs the other day and i think i spent more time trying to get those stupid boots back on to the carb while stayin fully extended on the air box.

alittle trick take the top of the air box off then you can reach in to put the boots back on...

Whoo hooo.............pandoras box!! Whatever you decide, best you ckeck that those white mainfolds in your airbox at the bottom where it attaches to the boot. They have tabs on them, they are prone to breaking of and sometimes injested into the motor. Personally i snapped all of them off

i guess their there to hold the white mainifolds in, im not sure, all i can tell you is one of mine where hanging off, thats all i needed, they all went! l did somthing to make sure it all stayed togeather right, but i cannot remember. lm changing jets tomorrow and will be pulling all thet stuff of so i will let you know.

:agree: makes it much easier, it's the only way to do it if you have Dial a Jets.
