I have a 94 wildcat 700 efi. I know boo for arctic cr@p but there is a guy on c-list that is looking to off a 1996 vmax 600 xt for around $800 it has a bender roller rooster secondary clutch, "custom yami twins the twins are prototype pipes never sold to the consumer", slp ultra light skis, proaction plus rear susp, black windsheild and new track 300 miles ago. However one cylinder leaned out and burnt a hole in one piston. My unit has 1800 miles studded track, new plastic kimpex skis, and is efi. So would you trade?

...............why did it lean out, would be my main question. PTO side seals sometimes go. What im saying is you should vector in a complete tear down and new seals/top end/gasket set, crank bareings as a bare minmum, into your calulations.

I would say no. If you want to get rid of the cat that bad then tell him three hundred to boot. Should cover parts and labor if motor can be rebuilt. if not should be able to come out a little ahead parting out.

yamie custom prototype twins never sold to the consumer?that is news to me seeing i was a enthusiastic parts manager at the time.yamaha sold twinpipes for the 500 and 600 at the time. not saying he told a fib but would like to see a pic if possible.

I asked for pics. I was thinking more of like a parts/donner sled for my 94 vmax4. I was thinking like 300 and the seld also ill tell him that and see if he bites. thanks for the suggestions.

You could use the rear long travel skid and plush seat to make your Vmax-4 ride like never before.

The 600 has become a 'spare' sled ...............it doesnt turn for s*^# so i dont really mind is the suspentions crap aswell..............i only loan it to my 'friends' anyway :muahaha:

I would not do it, the only advantage you would gain would be stretching it out to a 136"
That skid is basically the same thing you already have but longer.
I may be wrong but that's my .02
