Made some progress tonight. Got holes drilled in tunnel extension and got slides on and suspension all in. Just need to paint grab bar and tunnel extension. Hopefully take it for a ride before going back to work next week. Here are some pictures.

Finally finished. I hurried a little bit to much on the plastic side shrouds and they dont' look the greatest up close. Took it out for a short ride and so far all is well. Hopefuly friday i can go for the day.

Took sled out last night for a 90 mile loop. M-10 handled the bumps great. 144" hooked up great but racheted every once in a while, definitely need anti rachet drive sprockets. Really hard to get ass end to slide in corners and will take some getting use to. Seemed to be a lot more noise than 97, drive train, engine, and or track.:2dontknowGuy's riding behind me said they could either smell belt or slides. Set track tension to what Yamaha manual reads for 97 mountain max.

Rode with friend Ryan who has a 97 SX700 and probably the second best trail rider I know, three other friends of his two on 900 switchbacks and the other on a Polaris touring. I think I pulled away from the switchbacks going across a unbroken lake but never asked if they where full throttle. Probably let me go ahead for fear of hitting a ice shanty. Ryan was on my bumper until we hit trails with moguls then he fell back. Soooo....... all in all the maiden voyage was a success with no major problems. 60 miles on 8.5 gallons of gas. not bad considering a quarter of it was breaking trail.
